Glow Domes

Old sheets, wood scraps, timed light source, speakers, phosphorescent paint, Very Low Frequency (VLF) recordings of magnetic disturbances in the atmosphere.

The two tents were installed in opposite corners of the same wall, purple on the right, yellow on the left. When viewers entered the tent, they saw phosphorescent dots painted onto the pattern of flowers on the sheets that make the tent walls. When the lights inside the tents went out, viewers saw “constellation” patterns. VLF recordings played through one speaker in each tent.
